Atotal of 60 women have received hand hoes from women cooperative group.

While delivering the hand hoes to women the chairperson of the group Judith Scans asked women to go put into proper use the hoes. 

At the same event Nine people where also appreciated with token for the struggle they made to bring back the women granding Mile back to the women.

Among those who were awarded for their struggle includes Beatrice Ogony, Mondesta Ongom,Akongo Grace,Grace Oyo,Semmy Ongony,Amera Molly,Hellen Ayo,Judith Acana and Opio Andrew.

Beatrice Ongony one of the awarded beneficiaries thanked team who thought it otherwise to appreciates them.

She asked fellow women to do commercial farming and boost women granding Mile.

She said that if women grow maize and grain it can be packed and sold at good price.

She also asked the current leadership to explain to the women what the grinding mile has done for women.

She asked for transparency if the group should benefits all women.

Hon. Ketty Etap a member of a community base services advised women to register with share if they should with authorities own the grainding mile group.

Hon.Etap emphasised the needs for the leaders to explain to the women how the grainding mile has been operating and how is helping them."I am appealing to women to work hard and fill up their store so that they can make good monies," she added

Molly Ogwok chairperson women council Amolatar thanked women who struggled to bring back mile urging those who will oneday be trusted with leaderships to work for the people who elected them.

She called onto women to turnup in big numbers when called for election.

Kella Teddy Ayo the commercial officer Amolatar promised to help women register as cooperative so the members can benefit.

She asked those who wants to be under the cooperative to liaise with current leadership and buy share so that they own the cooperative.

While giving closing remark the assistant Resident district commisioner Tyan Sarah thanked government of NRM for supporting women with such grainding machine.

She however promise to work with women to see that women benefits from the machine and develope.
